Symbolizing the captive island of Cuba, this artwork depicts the flag held hostage and is allusive to any country that lives under a dictatorship. This collection features individuals from diverse ages, races, nationalities holding the flag and explores their connection with the piece.
This is an ongoing, work in process as every day persons from different generations pose with the piece. I would like to express my deep appreciation to everyone who has held the piece and shared their stories, feelings, and dreams for freedom and democracy. This… is for all of you.
